On foot from the south

You can access the plot on foot from Whitehawk Hill Road. Come up Whitehawk Hill Road and take the double allotment gate on the right.Head through the individual allotments down the hill until you see our tall woven fences / red metal container / polytunnels.

On foot from the north

From the roundabout at the top of Queensway and Manor Road, head about 50m down Manor road, and just past the racetrack. With your back to the racecourse stand, follow the path which runs across the grass to the LEFT of the TV mast. Jump a 3ft gate (if it's locked!) and this will lead you to the Food Project on your left (look out for our tall woven fences and red metal container).

Bus

The 21 and the 2 stop near the mini roundabout at the top of Queensway. From here, follow directions for arriving on foot from the north.

The 37 stops at the bottom end of the allotments ask for St John the Baptist Primary School, and head up the road, passing the school on your right. From here walk straight up to find yourself on Whitehawk Hill Road (see on foot from the south section).

Pushchairs, wheelchairs etc

The easiest access route is from the top. Paths here are a little wider and smoother... It's still a bumpy ride, but an ordinary buggy should just manage. Sorry, but we have no wheelchair access at present.

Car

Try parking on the track after Whitehawk Hill Road runs out. Please leave space for other vehicles to get access to the tv mast. Alternatively you could use the car park at the Wyevale garden centre, just north of the racecourse buildings. From here, head down Freshfield Road to the roundabout and follow the directions from the north as shown above.
