what's on?

Regular work days

If you'd like to volunteer, just come along on one of our regular workdays...

Every Sunday and Thursday from 12 to dusk, rain or shine, all year round.

You don't need to have had experience at gardening, just a willingness to learn. Work varies according to the season. You can help by doing whatever interests you and what you feel capable of. This could include jobs like weeding, planting, watering, harvesting, as well as occasional projects like fence building, coppicing, pond-making, shelter-building and so on. There are always plenty of "easier" jobs to suit people not wanting physical gardening work. You are always free to make whatever you want of your visit to the garden and to take things at your own pace. Guidance and support will always be at hand shoud you need it. You will usually find yourself in in the company of friendly experienced growers that you can talk to and share experience with. We always try to offer opportunities to work alone or in a group depending on your preferences each workday. At the end of the day you can take home a share of whatever produce is available. Typically we will encourage cooking, eating and sharing of food throughout the day.
